 "this painting i wanted to show how the word 'bombed' plays for different people. a child being bombed is represented by the american bomber dropping it's cargo on the child... the mother is perhaps thinking bombed from too many martinis. Êperhaps the reality of this painting is that they are both true. the mother uses theÊalcoholÊto help get through the trauma. "
